We produce an extensive selection of organic and conventional fruit & vegetable products, including these specialty items:
This small, reddish-purple fruit comes from the tall açaí palm, native to Brazil and other South American countries. The berry is a smaller than a grape, and has a taste similar to other blackberries or blueberries, but with a dark chocolatey undertone. They are prized by native populations for their dense concentration of nutrients, which include omega-3 fatty acids, anti-inflammatory agents like resveratrol, amino acids, B-vitamins, and fiber.
Unlike many of our competitors, our freeze-drying process preserves the health-promoting anthocyanin and polyphenol compounds which give açaí its true characteristic dark blue-purple color.
Our berries are available in frozen form, or as a freeze-dried powder.
The tart Acerola Cherry is native to South and Central America, where it grows on short, shrub-like trees under perennial tropical sun. It is extremely rich in vitamin C — one cup of acerola cherries contains more than ten times that of an orange — and also contains vitamins A, B1, B2, and B3, as well as carotenoids and bioflavonoids.
Our cherries are available in frozen form, or as a freeze-dried powder.
Camu Camu, a cherry-like red fruit, contains the highest concentration of vitamin C of any known fruit; making it a much sought-after ingredient in the food industry. It is harvested directly into canoes from the bushy riverside tree on which it grows. In its native Peru, Camu is often used to flavor ice cream and smoothies.
Our Camu is available as a dried powder.
Coconut water is the clear liquid found at the center of young (green) coconuts. Often used as a ‘natural’ sports drink, it is low in calories, fat- and cholesterol-free, and high in potassium and other electrolytes–making it an excellent hydrator.
Our coconut water is available in frozen form or as a freeze-dried powder, readily water-soluble.
Native to north-central and western China, Goji has been used extensively in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. It is often brewed in soups and teas for its immune-boosting and remedial properties. Goji berries are rich in amino acids, essential vitamins, carotenoids, and numerous phenolic pigments.
We offer our Goji berries in whole, dehydrated form.
An ancient ingredient used throughout the Incan Empire for its energy-boosting qualities, maca root has been known to increase stamina, enhance libido, and help support endocrine function. Maca is also a plentiful source of B, C, and E vitamins, and healthy fatty acids.
We offer our Maca in powder form.
This small, purple fruit grows on evergreen bushes in Chilean mountain regions, where it is harvested in winter by farming families. Maqui berries contain anthocyanin and polyphenol antioxidants, among other nutrients which lend it an anti-inflammatory properties.
Our maqui is available in frozen form, or as a freeze-dried powder.
Indigenous to Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru, the tuberous yacón plant contains up to 50% FOG (fructooligosaccharides, which are low-glycemic sugars) making it an ideal natural sweetening agent. Despite its sweet molasses-like taste, yacón syrup does not raise blood sugar levels–making it a desirable ingredient in culinary applications.
We offer yacón in both syrup and powder form.
